About the Better Life Lab
The Better Life Lab at New America is a small team of researchers and storytellers working in solidarity with the movement for work-life justice. We focus on gender equity, elevating the value of care, and rewiring social policy and workplace culture to work for today’s families. The team works collaboratively to maximize its impact on workplace culture, social policy, and gender equality. It employs a variety of innovative tactics and iterates on them based on analysis of their efficacy. Collegiality, self-motivation, creativity, and energy are key to thriving in this flexible work environment.
The Lab is looking for a communications intern to work 20 hours per week from September 30, 2021 through December 22, 2021. The intern will work remotely or out of New America’s Washington, DC office and will be paid $15-$25 per hour depending on experience. The Lab is open to candidates living abroad with U.S. work authorization. Please note that temporary employees at New America are not eligible for benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.
