Technology Manager

Ranking Digital Rights (RDR), an independent research program at New America that evaluates ICT companies’ policies, seeks a full-time technology manager to oversee the strategic development of our technology resources to help us scale our impact.

RDR works to promote freedom of expression and privacy on the internet by creating global standards and incentives for companies to respect and protect users' rights. We do this by ranking the world's most powerful digital platforms and telecommunications companies on relevant commitments and policies, based on international human rights standards. We work with companies as well as advocates, researchers, investors, and policymakers to establish and advance global standards for corporate accountability.

  2. Publishing in a queryable database of data from five editions of the RDR Index, enabling year-on-year comparisons and deeper exploration of our results by category, company, and service type, and using visual storytelling tools including timelines, graphs, and maps..

As technology manager, you will act as the primary technical liaison among RDR staff, partners, and developers. To ensure that projects are implemented effectively and on time, you will be responsible for building out timelines, tracking and reporting progress, and troubleshooting when necessary.
