The Education Policy Program uses original research and policy analysis to solve the nation’s critical education problems, serving as a trusted source of objective analysis and innovative ideas for policymakers, educators, and the public at large.
New America’s Education Policy Program seeks a policy analyst who will work on PreK-12 education policy in the area of improving the education of English learners in our nation’s schools. The policy analyst will analyze education data, legislation, and programs, and conduct research projects to identify promising approaches and policy solutions to ensure English learners have access to well prepared educators, effective instructional approaches, and equal educational opportunities. Additionally, we expect the policy analyst to help effectively communicate ideas to policymakers, educators, the media, and other key audiences, including through writing compelling policy papers and participating in public events.
